Celebrate Black History Month with Papertunity at DAC in a fun, creative workshop combining art, culture, learning and sustainability.

Participants will take part in an exciting interactive activity inspired by African heritage and the achievements of influential Black figures throughout history. There will be opportunities to test your knowledge, discover interesting facts and explore the people, stories and cultures that have helped shape our world.

The session will then move into hands-on creativity. Using recycled paper, mixed media and a variety of sustainable materials, participants will create their own unique artwork inspired by the workshop’s Black History Month theme. Everyone will also have the opportunity to contribute to a special collaborative piece celebrating identity, heritage, community and achievement.

Guided by Papertunity’s friendly facilitators, this workshop is designed to encourage participants of all ages to learn, share ideas and express their creativity in an enjoyable and welcoming environment. It is also a wonderful way to discover how everyday materials can be transformed into something colourful, meaningful and completely original.

At the end of the session, you will take home your very own recycled-art masterpiece, together with plenty of inspiration to continue creating sustainably at home.

No previous art experience is needed, just bring your imagination, curiosity and enthusiasm! Whether you enjoy getting crafty, learning something new or celebrating Black History Month with family and friends, this workshop promises an engaging experience with a few surprises along the way.

Spaces are limited, so book now to secure your place. Come ready to learn, create and celebrate while enjoying a joyful journey into Black history, culture and recycled art with Papertunity!
