Enfield FEASTS! with Ren Behan
Join us for another unforgettable evening in the Enfield FEASTS! a supper club series with acclaimed British-Polish food writer Ren Behan. Author of Wild Honey and Rye, Modern Polish Recipes, and The Sweet Polish Kitchen, Ren celebrates the rich culinary heritage of Poland while blending it with modern, vibrant flavours.
The night begins with welcome canapés, followed by a panel discussion where Ren will share stories of her culinary journey, travels to Warsaw’s breakfast markets, and the family recipes that inspired her cookbooks. Guests will then enjoy an intimate multi-course dinner featuring both traditional Polish dishes—like Mama’s Bigos, golabki, szarlotka, and homemade pickles—and modern creations inspired by Polish street food. Signed copies of Ren’s books will also be available to purchase.
Expect an evening of warmth, storytelling, and seasonal local ingredients, brought to life through the flavours and traditions of Poland.

Starters
Sharing Crudités & Pickles
Fresh Forty Hall vegetables and seasonal leaves served
with a selection of homemade Polish pickles.

“Little Pigeons” (Gołąbki)
Stuffed seasonal cabbage leaves with wild mushrooms
and cracked barley, served with a Forty Hall bacon
mushroom sauce.

Main Course
Feather Beef “Gulasz” Stew
Slow-cooked beef served with “Kasza” cracked barley,
braised beets and a refreshing cucumber, sour cream
and dill salad.

(V) Roasted Butternut & Mushroom Dumplings
Lazy dumplings served with roasted butternut squash
and mushrooms, accompanied by a cucumber, sour
cream, and dill salad.

Dessert
Polish Torte
A delicate layered vanilla sponge with rich chocolate
cream and seasonal fresh fruit.
