Markus Birdman
From The Palladium to Pakistan, a highly experienced, versatile & award winning comedian, Markus is one of stand-upâs most well travelled comedians, much in demand in the UK and all over the world, and one of the very first British Comics to have his own Netflix Special - Live in Amsterdam. You may also recognise Markus for reaching the Semi-Finals of BGT, Series 16.
He has written and performed twelve Edinburgh Festival Solo shows, and toured Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Scandinavia and throughout Europe, The Middle East and Far East. Andrea Hubert started out on the comedy circuit in late 2009, and within 20 gigs gained second place in a national competition. Sheâs since performed alongside some of the UKâs best comedians at prestigious comedy clubs all over the UK, been commissioned as a writer for a BBC pilot and was shortlisted for the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum at the New York Television Festival 2012. In 2013, Andrea and her writing partner Ryan Cull won the prestigious BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum competition, beating over 500 other entrants. The writing pair are currently working on a new sitcom as part of a development deal with Objective Productions (makers of Peep Show and Fresh Meat.)
Finlay Christie
At 19, Finlay became one of the youngest ever winners of the prestigious So You Think Youâre Funny competition, following in the footsteps of Peter Kay, Lee Mack and Sarah Millican. 3 years later, his debut Edinburgh show âOK Zoomerâ was nominated for NextUpâs âBest Showâ award and was released as a special in October 2023, with over 365,000 views. His material, based around his experience as a Gen Z, led Chortle to describe him as âthe voice of his generationâ.
His 2024 Fringe show âI Deserve Thisâ received multiple 5 star reviews, won the Entertainment Now âWoWâ award and was nominated for the ISH âBest Showâ award. The Guardian described it as âComedy goldâ and Edinburgh Festivals Magazine stated there was âBarely a single joke that wasnât a fresh zinger.â
He has appeared on 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4), The Stand-Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Comedy Central Live, Person on a Chair (Channel 4), The BBC New Comedy Awards, Get Off My Phone! (Dave) and Jokes Only An AI Can Tell (Channel 4). He has performed at Montrealâs Just For Laughs festival and across Europe for the Comedy Store.
